This is absolutely a quicken topic. Preview scanning of receipts works fine. Select the checkbox next to attachments choose the transaction to which you want. Click the gear icon in the transaction toolbar and then choose attachments.

Start quicken and open your account register. If you have already scanned a receipt and saved it on your computer you can instead select add file and then locate the receipt in the location where you have saved it on your computer. Then attach the receipt scan to the entry. Place the receipt you want to attach in the scanner and select add from scanner and then select your scanner in the next window and scan the receipt.
