The nyc health code requires that supervisors of food service establishments and non retail food service establishments be certified in food protection. The purpose of the food handlers essentials training program is to prepare food handlers to enter the workforce by providing the required food safety information as specified by regulations of the workers state or local government. The online food managers course is equivalent to the traditional classroom class and satisfies the food manager certificate requirement for all food establishments allowing you to take the class at your convenience.
